Antigua’s #MkeBrunchBites Preview:

As of press time, the menu at Antigua was still being reviewed — but this is what we know they will serve for sure.

Update: March 2, 2011:  Here is the new Brunch menu http://antiguamilwaukee.com/Documents/2011%20Brunch.pdf

Molletes:
A traditional and simple breakfast from Mexico, and one of the country’s comfort food by excellence.  Made with Mexican bolillo (white bread) cut in half, topped with refried beans and Chihuahua cheese.  They are baked until the bread is crisp and the cheese has melted.  Served with a side of pico de gallo and sour cream.   $5.95

Chilaquiles:
Known as one of Mexico’s cure for a hang over, Chilaquiles are made with crispy tortilla chips, smothered in our signature red salsa until the tortilla softens.  They are garnished with fresh crumbling cheese, and sour cream to cool off the heat.  Served with charcoal grilled beef strips, and a side of refried beans.       If you are brave – ask for our Chilakillers…made with our Diabla sauce!  $9.59

Tortila Española:
Spain is well known for their Tortilla Española, and it is one of the most commonly served dish in Spain.  This omelets like dish, is made with fried potatoes, eggs, bell peppers and onions.   $6.95

Latin Cakes:
Antigua’s version of French toast. Our deliciously moist homemade pound cake gets dipped in an egg batter, then coated with coconut flakes, and grilled to perfection.  Served with strawberry sauce.  $6.95

Guajillo Glazed Chicken:
Grilled chicken breast with a Guajillo pepper glaze, served with cilantro rice, refried beans, and fresh crumbling cheese.  Choice of corn or flour tortillas. $9.59

Look for several other brunch items to be on the menu when Antigua’s brunch launches Sunday. Brunch will be served every Sunday from 11am to 3pm. The regular lunch menu will also be available.
