Braise RSA presents its first Tour de Farms

Braise RSA presents the first annual Tour de Farms

The Braise RSA was started in June of 2008 by David Swanson (Braise on the Go Culinary School). The idea is to have chef’s work together in a cooperative fashion to source local foods from our wonderful farms in Wisconsin.

Tour de Farms takes place Sunday, September 20 and will start with a leisurely 35-mile bike ride touring farms on nice and easy rural roads.

Before the 35-mile trek begins, riders will begin the day at Jeff-Leen Farm in Random Lake and fuel up for the ride with pastries, coffee and energy drinks. The ride then take riders to Wellspring Farm, where a farm tour awaits along with lunch. After lunch, get back on the saddle and head over to Evergreen Lane Farm, where refreshments and a tour are provided. They will make their way back to Jeff-Leen Farm and cap off the day with a farm dinner. This casual dinner will use local and seasonal products. Everyone will sit down and eat: farmers, cyclists and chefs.

Tour de Farms Schedule:
Registration and snacks: 10:00am
Start of Ride: 10:30am
Lunch: 12 noon to 2:00pm
Dinner: 6:00pm

Cost:
$70 per person for the whole day (ride, eats and tours)
$50 per person for dinner only
