According to the Brew Beat, Ryan Braun’s Waterfront Grill will soon take over the space occupied by Fratellos Waterfront Restaurant, at 102 N. Water St. in Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward, according to an investor working with Braun on the project. Madison-based lawyer Patrick Sweeney said that he finalized a lease on Monday, and the aggressive plan is to open by the Brewers’ opening day, Monday, April 5.
“It’s the Brewers’ Opening Day, so we figured it would be ours, too,” Sweeney said.
Situated along the Milwaukee River, the space has seating for 275, including a huge outdoor patio with room for about 110. The menu will feature fresh seafood in addition to steaks and chops, chicken, pastas, individual pizzas, sandwiches, hamburgers and kids’ fare. The wine list includes private-label Italian-style wines licensed to Braun. Valet parking will be available.
Fratellos Restaurant is still open as Tuesday, March 2nd and is currently promoting a new menu on its Facebook page. Stay tuned to MilwaukeeFood.com for more information.
